The official countdown to Christmas is definitely underway! The first of Scoil Barra’s two Christmas Carol Concerts this evening has certainly launched our festive cheer. This evening’s performances in the Church of Christ Our Light were indeed a splendid treat for the senses! The beautiful singing, music and magnificent melodies brightened everyone’s evening and put us all in good spirits ready to celebrate the magic of Christmas. Congratulations to all the pupils on their wonderful performances and to their class teachers for all the tedious preparation which ensured everything went smoothly on the night. Many thanks to our musical co-coordinator Michelle McAdoo and to the choir conductors Kara woods, Keely Sheehan and Maria Healy for keeping the show on the road. What a lovely surprise and treat for us all to have Mrs. Karen O’Sullivan back tinkling away on the keyboards. Very Well done also to our talented percussionists Thomas Kelly, Hervé and Christopher Kumanzembe.We’re really looking forward to another wonderful performance this evening!
