Up the Village!

The pupils and staff of Scoil Barra were thrilled to welcome the 2014 Cork County champions, Ballincollig to the school on Monday. Following an emphatic victory over Carbery Rangers in Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Sunday, 19th October, the Ballincollig squad along with their mentors and back-room team then visited the school with the Andy Scannell cup.

Ballincollig made history with their win – It is the first time a Ballincollig Senior team has been crowned county champions and the game was the last match to be played in Pairc Ui Chaoimh as we know it.

Scoil Barra had a grand total of five past pupils on the match day squad and an even greater number on the extended panel. Everyone in the school was justifiably proud of the team and delighted to have so many former pupils involved.

Ballincollig Senior Footballers 2014, we salute you – Up the Village!
