Scoil Barra 6th class pupils have been to various general knowledge quizzes in the past few months. The quizzes are great fun and also are great for learning new facts about topics we don’t know much about. Even though we don’t always place or win, we always try to make the most of the experience.
The first quiz was in The Rochestown Park Hotel. We entered one team of four. On the team there was Clodagh O’ Sullivan, Kate Scanlon, Sarah O’Connell and Chinonso Eze. It was a great quiz and we really enjoyed it.
Our second quiz was in Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal in Blarney. Some of us had been to the quiz last year too and it is one of our favourite quizzes. We entered two teams of four. On the first team there was: Kate Scanlon, Clodagh O’ Sullivan, Olivia Whibley and Nicole O’ Connell. We had an amazing time at the quiz. On the second team there was Una Rainsofrd, Sarah O’ Connell, Kian Buckley and Chinonse Eze. The team said that they had a great time too.
Our third and last quiz so far this year was in Ballincollig Community School. The quiz was run by The Credit Union. The quiz was great. We entered three teams. On the first team was Niamh O’ Riordan, Clodagh O’ Sullivan, Ben Mc Guirk and Peter Agwu. We had a great time at the quiz. On the second team there was Nicola Batt, Sarah O’ Connell and Kian Buckley. They really enjoyed the quiz. On the third team there was: Erika O’ Leary, Una Rainsford, Lauren Buckley and Nicole O’ Connell. Their team loved the quiz.
On behalf of all the quiz teams I would like to thank Ms. Cremins and Ms. Farrell for organizing the quiz teams and for the opportunity to be on the teams. We would also like to thanks them for accompanying us at the quizzes.
