Sincere Congratulations to our Fifth Class students Jake O ‘Brien, Clodagh O’Sullivan and Martha Kelly who recently won first, second and third place prizes for their humorous ‘Limerick Poems’ composed to celebrate the hosting of the Fleadh Cheoil Chorcaí 2015 competition in Ballincollig from May 7th-10th. The three students were presented with their prizes at a Gala Evening in the Oriel House Hotel on Thursday 7th of May. The award winning ‘Limericks’ were published in the official Comhaltas Fleadh Cheoil Chorcaí Programme 2015 and who knows it could be the start of a writing career for our young budding poets!
