The pupils of 6th class had a very special day on March 15th when they received the sacrament of Confirmation. Bishop Harrington presided over the Confirmation and had some wonderful words of guidance and encouragement for the pupils. All of the pupils took an active part in the mass, with the music and singing being a particularly special part of the ceremony. Thanks to the school staff who helped to prepare our pupils: Ms. Keohane, Ms. O’ Regan, Ms. Ní Dhonnabháin, Ms. Kingston, Rose Derham and Ms. O’ Sullivan. We are especially grateful to the wonderful musicians that accompanied the singing so beautifully: Ms. O’ Sullivan, Mr. O’ Gorman, Thomas Kelly and James Conway. Finally, a special word of thanks to our priests: Fr. George and Fr. Cian who have also helped to prepare and guide our pupils so generously and thoughtfully during theses pupils’ time in Scoil Barra.
