Scoil Barra Athletes have a ‘Field Day’ in Páirc Uí Chaoimh Finals!!

The Scoil Barra athletics team received a rapturous welcome home on their return to the school last week laden down with medals and silverware! We salute the wonderful boys and girls teams who competed so sportingly and successfully in the Annual Primary Schools Athletics competition in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. We are particularly proud of our two new County Champions Dylan Leahy and Jersey Iduozee(Under 8). What a fine achievement at such a young age! Congratulations to each member of the school team for their massive dedication to training over the past few weeks and for doing themselves and the school proud on the big occasion. We are running out of room in the trophy display cabinet but we can always make or buy another!! Coaches Willie Murphy, Sineád O’ Connor and Gemma Kingston take a well earned bow!
