Over the past number of years, Scoil Barra has been working with Junior Achievement Ireland, a charity that develops programmes which are facilitated by volunteers from the world of work. This year, Junior Achievement Ireland worked with the Environmental Protection Agency. Together, they developed an environmental workshop which was delivered by a volunteer using the classroom’s interactive whiteboard.
Ms. O’Regan’s 6th class had the opportunity to engage with this virtual workshop. Pupils learned about global warming and climate change. Students also identified small changes that they can make to reduce their carbon footprints.
