Recently our 5th classes created some Picasso inspired art. Picasso was a very renowned artist from Spain who is famous for his portraits .

Interesting Facts about Pablo Picasso

  • His full name is Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso.
  • In the 1930s Picasso became fascinated with the mythical creature the Minotaur. This creature had the body of a man and the head of a bull. It appeared in many of his pieces of art.
  • He produced over 1,800 paintings and 1,200 sculptures.
Mr O’Connor’s class used music as their inspiration.

Cubisim

Cubism was a revolutionary new approach to representing reality invented in around 1907–08 by artists Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque.
