Scoil Barra were delighted today to welcome members of the Minor and U17 teams accompanied by our wonderful GAA coach John Dwyer.
Players from both teams arrived to great cheer ,fresh off their victories over Galway, the first All Ireland title for a Cork Minor Hurling team since 2001 and the U17 Hurling team who beat Dublin to secure victory in the inaugural U17 All Ireland final.
The players some of whom were past pupils gave words of encouragement to all the students, telling them to try their best , to enjoy what they do and not to let small set backs define your future. Thanks again to the players for their visit and words of encouragement.We are looking forward in the future to welcoming back our present pupils who we are sure are destined for great things also.
