This year’s production of A Tale as Old as Time has been a truly memorable journey. From the first rehearsal back in September to the final curtain call, our talented 5th and 6th class students gave it their all, and now, we’re excited to share a glimpse of the magic with you.

As always, the real stars of the show were the children. From the moment we announced A Tale as Old as Time, their enthusiasm, dedication, and energy never wavered. With a cast of 110 pupils, we’ve been amazed by their commitment, turning up to after-school rehearsals with excitement, working hard to perfect every scene, and supporting each other every step of the way.
The show itself follows the classic story of Beauty and the Beast, with a few creative Scoil Barra twists. Alongside Belle and the Beast, you’ll meet new characters, hear familiar songs (with a few surprises), and see how each role was designed to bring out the very best in our students.
From Gaston’s expanded entourage to the lively castle crew, and of course, the enchanting Rose and her bouquet of rose dancers, every moment was a chance to shine. The students’ growth, confidence, and teamwork throughout this process have been inspiring.
To all our young performers: thank you. You’ve brought joy, creativity, and heart to this production. We hope you look back on it with pride and carry the memories with you for years to come.
