In school we made lighthouses out of kitchen paper rolls and cereal boxes. We got our inspiration from the Fastnet Rock which is a lighthouse 13km away from the Mizen Head in Cork and a poem we studied called “The Lighthouse” by CJ Heck. We also learned about circuits and electricity, so when we made our lighthouses we created a circuit for them to light up. In order for the bulbs to light we needed a complete circuit. Here are some examples of what we made.
